Rural Watch - improving CSOs role in supporting transparency and accountability of public authorities and business in the rural areas

The project aims to address some of the most pressing issues of the rural development in Albania related to the quality of life and keeping the standards for clean and safe environment. Overall objectives include:
  • Improved environmental performances of energy and extractive industries in Albanian rural areas;
  • Increased transparency and accountability of public authorities and businesses related to extractive and energy industry (EEI) in rural areas 

Branding Scheme and Mobile Application for the preservation and promotion of common traditional gastronomy

The project aims to boost local economy through addressing issues like promotion of traditional gastronomy and tourism in general, economic cooperation and sustainable use of natural resources. 
Overall objectives include:
  • Preservation and promotion of c/b traditional gastronomy;

Promote Eco-tourism through fostering (QUALITY LOGO PRODUCTS of Albanian traditional agricultural products and touristic sites)

Promoting the potentials for eco-tourism development of the area, developing local population capacities for offering qualitative eco-touristic services; promoting the “QUALITY LOGO PRODUCTS”  
Specific Objectives:
  1. Identify the local touristic assets (notably quality basket goods and attractive places);
  2. Change the behaviour and the mindset of the local stakeholders
  3. Validate the local culinary heritage and involve the traditional SMEs;
  4. Reactivate the social demand for regional product identity and enhance the "urban exodus";

Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) programme in Albania

In cooperation with Environmental Centre for Administration and Technology (ECAT), ECO-Partners contributed to the implementation of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) programme in Albania. The Programme consisted of establishing the RECP Centre and the RECP network of experts who were trained under the UNIDO/ UNEP expertise. The programme assisted in integrating the RECP strategy into the sustainable industrial development and sustainable consumption and production in Albania.
